About this project

We have a complaint about too many people getting on the elevator.

Because so many people board the elevator that people who really need it can not get on it. Then you forget the essence of the elevator. So we made message box that affect many people and help them find the essence of elevators. The message box contains powerful sentences that can affect people. The sentence is "Don't get in the elevator unless you're disabled. "We tried to measure the effects of message boxes on people. We recorded the number of non-disabled people in the elevator when the message box was present and away. As a result, message boxes have influenced people who are not disabled in elevators and have helped them use them more efficiently.

Message Box Effect

After we made message box, we began measuring elevator users at the main entrance on the first floor of the school.

Using the lunch hour, we observed the change of elevator users between two days before and after using the message box.

Observations were conducted from July 10 to July 13.

Before using the message box, about 40 non-disabled people used the elevator.

Less than five of non-disabled people tried but didn't ride elevator.

because the elevator was late, they had to wait.

The number of elevator users has decreased slightly after using message box.

however, The number of people that tried but didn't ride elevator has increased enormously.

When a non-disabled person rides the elevator, The message box rang to alert them.

They heard the alarm and did not take the elevator.

For four days we could observe the positive effects of message boxes.
