Hey Joe, thanks for checking this out. I guess a gyroscopic sensor is the way to go, as it has a much higher response rate / faster update interval. Also the precision is a factor to keep in mind. I only used the ultra sonic sensor because I had it lying around anyway and thought why not try it.
