  • LED as a Light Sensor 3 months ago

I never tried to use the same LED as both light source and the sensor, But I think if that is possible it could be useful in many ways. I will try it out and ofcourse share result here.
and I think any LED will be able to sense light from another similar type of LED cause that is how IR sensors work. Not sure though. I will have to test it.
    Thank you for your suggestions.

Its called servo jitter. at first I was not sure about why but shaell in the previous comment mentioned that a debounce is needed in the code to overcome jitters and get precise moves.

The capacitor is used for a stable power supply it is not required if your power is 6v stable.
yet if you want to use. the cap is 100uf 16v electrolytic.

You can check the video for most of your questions,I hope it make things clear. The current drawn from the coil is abut 25-30 mA. The magnet is placed inside the coil you can see om the images. The force is not very strong, but it is enough to move rudder and elevator of small foam planes. The project has a lot of room for improvement and you can improve it according to your need and Ideas.
