About this project

Since I live in my home I have problems with my WiFi signal's strength. So playing with the WifiNina library I had the idea to turn my MKR IoT Carrier into an WiFi strength detector. A simple yet useful project. :)

What the WiFi strength measurer does ?

  • Welcome you with a "welcome screening" while connecting to WiFi
  • Print the WiFi strength on 3 levels : Ok level green, medium level orange, bad level red (+ buzzer sound).
  • In addition to the screen color and printed value, the LEDs are shifting from red to green depending on the quality.
  • Update every 1s.
  • You can change limit and extrem values of the signal quality.

As the MKR IoT Carrier has a capability to carry a LiPo battery the project can be portable. On my example it is link to the computer by usb for power supply.

I hope it will be useful for someone!
