When I was working on this prototype several years ago my plan was to have it modular for extending to different size systems. The project never blossomed beyond this prototype.
I am interested to hear your developments as you grow up your system.
QCRLS, thanks for the feedback. This project has been through may iterations since it's creation in 2014. We were working through some custom microcontrollers as part of launching this as a startup before the project shut down earlier this year. My recommendation is using this as a starting point in your design and looking at you would solve the control system.
I've cleaned up some on the dead links and removed the code as probably better to have a clean slate for you to start rather that confused by partial code.
