Basic code to make Arduino communicate with ILI9341.
There is only one fixed font defined in Display_char() function by "static const byte ASCII". No way to select another font.
You are right. That was the first thing I did. I downloaded a library with 5 examples of which only one worked with my display and I was not able to understand why and how to fix it. So I decided to go through the datasheet trying to understand how to communicate with display and read the touch screen. Spent some time but managed to make it work and (the most important for me) partially understood how and why. And I decided to share it, maybe it can be useful for somebody who wants to understand, not only download and spend time showing funny things on the LCD. I know that code I shared is not perfect and that the libraries offer much more functions, but they are always too complex, which means you have to load many functions often using only few of them. This is only basic code, but should be enough for someone who needs just display a text and read a touch coordinates.
