About this project

I love playing about with vehicles and this is the next stage for me

Got some more items on my dev board today. I plan to use a potentiometer to manage the speed of the electric motor that will drive the crank gear and I will also use one to manage the throttle position. I have printed enclosures for these and I have made provision to have both these joined so I can move then simultaneously to simulate engine speed changing with throttle position.

I will simply use a rubber band to joint up both pots.

Got the electric motor in and the power supply. When I get some time at the weekend I can see it the current setup produces a spark.

Really been struggling with how to connect up the transistor. I watched this video on YouTube and I think I may have this one cracked.

So success,I can now generate a spark at will from an Arduino.

So I've moved on a little. I designed and ordered a PCB from EasyEDA. It wasn't too difficult to do that once I sat down and took some time to get it right. Ordered a bunch of components, just waiting now for stuff to arrive.
