My original career started as a machine tools engineer back in 1989 when computers were thin on the ground. My hobby then had been designing and programming for some of the home computers available at that time. I migrated early on into the IT industry which I have enjoyed working with for the past 20 years. I have been continuously employed since leaving college in 1987. . My interests have changed over the years, I am involved with control systems for micro generation projects in Solar, Wind, Hydro and Hydrogen by working with universities and existing clients over the last 10 years. The IT experience gives me the ability to program PLC controllers and design control software for automating power control systems. I personally designed and maintained applications from Barcode scanning through to data acquisition systems.
