Yes, it is a bit high. I think it is because I purchased all the components in small amount. If purchasing them in bulk, it may reducing the cost per component. The cost also includes shipping fee. So purchasing in bulk will divide the shipping cost a lot.
Because the minimum PCB amount is 3 pieces if using OSHpark, so I place the order of 3 times the required components. When receiving the boards and the components, I can build three boards. If want to build more, I have to place the order to OSHpark and digikey again.

It's about 20 bucks a board. The PCB is about 10 bucks, the rest components takes about another 10 bucks. Hope it helps.
I don't have an oscilloscope to capture the waveforms, thus cannot provide the data. You can try a OBD emulator. I think you can purchase them on the market. Hope it helps.
