Yes! So the SDA and SCL buses have resistance on it in the breadboard, meaning that you might not know if a signal is high or low. Pull-up resistors would help out with this issues, connected to Vdd on the Mega to the breadboard. This will ensure that the board knows whether or not a connection is low or high by providing a direct link to positive voltage.
