The Kickstarter may have failed but that doesn't mean you can't make your own Fridgeye with a few components and a Nextion display.
Project tutorial by Kevin Sidwar
Hey Jason, great project you're building. So based on the speed you set the motor to you can calculate the percentage and then do something similar to the temp reading. Something like t1.setText(...) but you would have to set that up using the Nextion display IDE so the display can associate the changes you make with an element on the screen. So first add a text element to the screen in the Nextion editor and program that onto the display. Once that's ready you can add another NexText variable to your code to be able to assign values. Hopefully that helps some. Let me know if you have specific questions.
Hey Alex, you could definitely do that. It's been a while since I've played with the display but there is a slider object that you can display on screen and have access to the value in your Arduino code. You can also bind that value to another text display object on the screen that doesn't require any Arduino code to back it. Lots of options.
Hey Nick, really sorry for the slow response. It looks like your environment doesn't know about the Nextion library. Did you do steps 1 and 2 under the Teach the Arduino How to Speak Nextion section? If so, can you see the Nextion library from within the Arduino editor by going to the Sketch menu and then expanding Include Library. If you don't see it listed there then there may be an issue with how you copied it into the Arduino library environment. Let me know and we'll figure it out.
