I watched videos and I have to admit, what you did is probably the best project on chessboard one can find on the internet. Maybe I missed that but I couldn't hear which board and which type of RFID reader you used, but anyway, what you did is just amazing. It works pretty well and I really have nothing to add, sir. If you don't mind, I will ask a few questions related to your choice of components. I will send you an email.

I will watch videos soon and will share my point further. In fact, if it’s efficient to use antennas and RFID, it’s not a bad solution for solving the problem of figure recognition, since I guess every chess piece will have it’s unique ID. BUT, when I tried to set up 125kHz reader of mine, it turned out to be harder to read ID’s through serial
port of Arduino. It’s neither fast nor practical solution, although possible to implement. That’s my opinion tho, maybe on other professional boards, compared to Arduino, it’s easier to work with RFID technology.
