About this project

We are a team of hikers, bikers and adventurers. The Survival Strap is a solution to solve the nagging problem of "what happens if I get hurt out side of cell phone range."

Our project is built on the Arduino platform, the watch itself uses a teensy 3, and receives GPS position from the phone and transmits it with an UHF transmitter. Survival tips and information is programmed into a pebble app so the adventurer can go over fire starting, or shelter building information. The strap includes an emergency supply of paracord, and a fire starter.
