The normal NRF24L01+ easily have a reach of 10 meters or more. I actually never checked from how far away I still get a steady signal, but the range is pretty good
Hi Andres, good that it's solved. Is sound output switched on in Pure Data (the DSP box checked on the log window)? If none of the touch sensor pins are touched it is normal that it does not produce any sound though.
No need to worry about power consumption. It should work just fine with the onboard power regulator. The NRF24L01+ needs about 15mA and the MPR121 modules almost nothing (29 μA each). So as long as you don't need the NRFs with the big antennas you're golden. Would give you the opportunity to remote control the sound from a kilometer away though :D
